ジョルジュ・アガンベン『開かれ』平凡社ライブラリー Giorgio Agamben, L'aperto: L'uomo e l'animale

アガンベンは、13世紀のヘブライ語聖書に描かれた動物の顔を持つ人間の絵をきっかけに、ヨーロッパの歴史における、人間と動物の分類にまつわる、様々なエピドーソを紹介する。

その流れは、アガンベンが人類学機械、とよぶものにたどり着く。それは、ヨーロッパの知性を象徴する。その知とは、物事をある違いによって分類し、分類の発想は、差別と支配の発想に結びついている。

アガンベンは、最後に、ベンヤミンの”人類学機械”とはちがった、人間と動物の捉え方を紹介し、人類学機械によらない、人間と動物の新しい関係の可能性を提示する。

ふだん、動物と身近に接している人は、人間と動物の違いについて、”人類学機械”のように考えることはないだろう。

イヌでもネコでも、ペットとして可愛がっている人にとっては、見知らぬ人間よりは、そうしたペットに対しての方が、深い愛情を感じるだろう。

そうした、自分の感覚に基づく、従来の考えに捕われない生き物への視点は、アガンベンが期待する、あたらしい関係に対して、1つのヒントを与える。

Agamben introduces various thoughts about the relationship between human and animal in western society. As him, the Anthropology machine is a symbol of western intelligence. The character of the intelligence is the classification and discrimination.

Agamben desire we will have another view of the relationship between human and animal instead of the the Anthropology machine.

The person who is feeding pets like dogs or cats see animals by their different view from  them. They see pets more important than unknown peoples sometimes.

We should note such a people's feeling more to find out new relationship between human and animal.
